Tobias B. Bacherle
Germany Senior Lead
Tobias B. Bacherle is FOTI’s Germany Senior Lead. A trained political scientist, he brings extensive experience at the intersection of technology policy, international relations and democratic governance.
From 2021 to 2025, he served as a Member of the German Bundestag, coordinating his parliamentary group in the Committee on Digital Affairs and focusing on European digital sovereignty, AI, and data governance. Before parliament, he worked for an MEP, a state legislator, and as a freelance campaigner.
